How do I install the RUM tracking script?

From your Projects dashboard, open the project’s options menu and select “Install RUM Vitals.” This will take you to the RUM Vitals installation page. Copy the provided script and follow the on-screen instructions. Add the script to your website’s footer to begin tracking.

Many users were switching between both tools to understand the real impact of technical issues.

Is anything changing in how projects are created or managed?

Yes — but for the better.
You now use a fully redesigned 4-step guided flow for creating projects, and editing/deleting projects is cleaner, clearer, and validated twice (front-end + backend) for reliability.
Project URLs still cannot be changed, but all other settings remain editable.

What is the new Key Highlights Report?

This new report combines the most important SEO Audit metrics with the most important real-user CWV metrics into one easy-to-read summary.

What does the switch from “page views” to “events” mean?

We’ve upgraded the RUM tracking model to event-based monitoring.
This means more accurate tracking, better performance insights, and improved flexibility for future enhancements.
Every RUM interaction is measured as an event, giving you more granular data.

Do I need to update anything in my implementation?

Only if you want real-user data.
If you never installed RUM → you can now install it for free.
Everything else works automatically with the updated platform.
